Smart Research Ancient Arts is a program that uses the scientific method to research, test and fix techniques of ancient martial arts. Why do they need to be fixed? Because of misinterpretations. Besides our program, there are no known instructors and schools who are devoted to correct instructional errors that might have been passed down from the generations before them.
What is the scientific method and how is it able to detect errors and correct them? Basically, it is what scientists use to test and form hypotheses. You can rarely see anyone using it to check whether a particular technique (e.g. Wing Chun Tan Sau) is correctly done or not. That means, we are the first group of ancient arts practitioners who do not practise ancient arts mindlessly; we do correct instructional errors.
Why do we pay attention to this? Who wants to practise ancient techniques wrongly? Imagine after practising an ancient art for many years, yet it does not seem to work ideally; how frustrating is that? This applies to yoga, meditation, martial arts and so on.
